I am an art teacher and ceramist working out of Northern Colorado. The natural world has been a central part of my life since childhood and is a constant source of inspiration. However, my intention is not to replicate nature. I attempt to convey its spiritual essence, and acknowledge our fundamental connection with it. Clay is of the earth, and allows me to address what intrigues me in a unique way. The sense of freedom one feels working with such a tactile, expressive, and primal material is what draws me to it.
